What Is Wealth Anyway?

March 28, 2008 by parkerandco

Wealth….we all want it. But do we really know what it is? Depending on who you are and how or where you live, wealth can have many different meanings. Is the billionaire who lives in high style but has no solid relationships really wealthy? Is the homeless person who wears rags but craves the outdoors and despises the establishment not wealthy in his own way? What does wealth mean to you?

I’ll tell you what it means to me because this is my blog and thus, my opinion! I have some health issues but I’m not confined in any way nor do I take any prescription poison, so in that respect, I’m wealthy. I don’t have a lot of money and my living conditions are not what I would like, but I’m safe, have food for my table and a bed to sleep in and a great computer (given to me by family), so in that respect, I am wealthy. I’m getting older but my mind is sharp and memory pretty good, so there is wealth there too. Most important to me, I read anything having to do with metaphysical subjects that I feel is appropriate to my life. The right books will just jump into your hands when you are ready for the content. I believe that anything I want, I can get with the right intention, faith and trust.

“Ask, Believe, Receive. Just three simple steps to create what you want. However, very often the second step, believe, can be the most difficult one. And yet it is the greatest step you will ever take. When you master believing, you have mastered your life.

To master believing, all you have to do is tip the balance of your thoughts, words and actions, from ‘not believing’ to believing. The ONLY thing that can ever get in the way of manifesting what you want, is having more thoughts of ‘not believing’, speaking more words of ‘not believing’, and taking more actions of ‘not believing’, than you are of believing. Base the majority of your thoughts, words and actions in believing, and the law of attraction must obey you.

Believing contains no doubt. Believing does not waiver. Believing is absolute faith. Believing remains steadfast despite what is happening in the outside world. “

Quoted from an email I received from Rhonda Byrne of The Secret.

Sometimes a little help is needed in manifesting. Something to focus your energy and thoughts on so that the law of attraction can maybe work a little faster. Couldn’t hurt! On The Secret’s web site, they offer a talisman you can download to help you manifest money. But what if you want to manifest more than money? Good luck, more success in your job, nicer place to live, the love of your life, just to name a few. Then maybe a more all-around talisman would be helpful, even better. I have one…..it’s called Magick Money Magnet Medallion and yes, it does focus on money, but it can be used to manifest any other thing you may want.

Does it work? Remember to believe!!

Do You Want Better Health?

January 15, 2008 by parkerandco

So many of us today have health problems and I am one. Fortunately, my problems are really small compared to what others go through and here’s the thing…..a lot of what I’m dealing with is related to diet. I have worked very hard to do a total overhaul of my eating habits and believe me, when you suffer from anxiety this can be a challenge seemingly unsurmountable! Using a food diary helped me see not only what I was eating, but how much. You can really convince yourself of anything, but why does it seem so much easier to accept negative stuff? Media showing subliminal ads for food. Bigger is better, eat like a horse because everyone you know is doing it so why not. I’m sorry but this way of thinking is on the wrong path! Add to that all the over salted, over sugared and overly fat, prepared, pre-frozen and pre-cooked foods out there and what’s a busy person to do. I’m fortunate enough to not have a hugely stressful lifestyle and good thing, as I don’t know how I would manage avoiding weighing hundreds of pounds.

All the additives in prepared foods are causing serious health problems in this country. Don’t take my word for it. Do your own research. I’m not making anything up here. Also a problem is air, soil and water pollution. You may hear constant suggestions that organic is better but seriously folks, think about this. How can anything be pollution and pesticide free? Rain falls through heavily soiled air onto plants, into the soil, and the plants absorb it. It doesn’t matter that pesticides were not used. They are already in the soil, put there by dirty rain. Unless you have your own greenhouse and grow hydroponics, there isn’t much that can be done to avoid the toxins in your food. Organics and supplements are a good start anyway. This may surprise some of you but cooking from scratch does not have to be time consuming, unless you eat gourmet style every day! There’s something very calming about working with food. While washing, chopping and cooking I use the time to think about stuff……anything that isn’t negative (don’t put that energy into your food!). And the taste! Once you get used to no additives, preservatives or excessive sodium, you won’t know how you put that awful stuff into your mouth in the first place.

In addition to organics, supplements and no prepared foods, I also use alternative health methods and not just self hypnosis (which has helped me immensely, by the way). Recently I had a physical checkup at my HMO. I got a new doctor…..some 12 year old they just handed a diploma. This young woman had so obviously been brainwashed by the medical establishment that I felt sorry for her! When I told her I used alternatives, she told me I could die. WHAAAAT?? Apparently she missed the class on bedside manner…..oh, wait……they don’t teach that in med school!! The only reason I put up with her is that alternatives, as helpful as they can be, can’t cure everything (like cancer or if you need surgery, like for appendicitis). What they can do is ease the side effects and even stop them, and also speed healing. Why would you not want that?

I suffer from chronic lower back pain, mostly due to sitting in front of my computer too long. I help keep it under control, not with pain killers or NSAIDS (not good over the long haul), but with acupuncture. Best thing I ever did for myself. But, you say…..the needles…ugh….arrgh…..hurt! Don’t they? Ok, listen carefully……noooooooo! There might be a little pinch once in a few, but most of the time they do not hurt. Remember, you tend to equate them with the kind you get injections with. There is no comparison…..injection needles have to be thick enough for liquid to pass through, making them hurt. And anyway, it’s the fluid going in that hurts, not so much the needle. Acupuncture needles are no thicker than a hair and when they are placed in certain areas of the body, it’s amazing what results come. Pain can be reduced if not eliminated and at the end of a session, you can feel remarkably relaxed. I’ve been getting this treatment for quite a while and without it, I would probably have stomach problems from the pills I would have to take.

There is a lot of information out there about acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (I use that too) but if you want an overview of how it works or just want to satisfy your curiosity, there’s a neat site that gives all kinds of info. Take a look at www.shpigelacupuncture.com. Alex Shpigel is a friend and a fine healer. This may not be much help to you if you don’t live in San Diego, unless you want to fly here on a vacation and throw in a little treatment while here. Really, the site is informative and hopefully, you will be more comfortable with the concept.

I certainly went on a rant today. You might be able to tell that health issues are big with me. I hope you don’t mind but I’m sure to do this again!

Speaking of Personal Success

January 3, 2008 by parkerandco

Since personal success is part of the title of this blog, I thought this time I would focus a bit on that subject.  Personal success…..what does it mean to you?  A great job?  High income? A nice home? Plenty of friends?  Your perfect partner?  Depending on your point of view and what your own goals are, personal success can mean many different things.  Others may or may not agree with you as we all have varying viewpoints.  No matter what it means to you, it can be quite hard to manifest what you want or consider to be “success”.

There are quite a few products for self hypnosis that can help you attain any of your goals, at www.acesuccess.com on their products page.  Some suggestions are Item T2 - Attract Your Special Someone by Terry Brussel-Gibbons, PhD (a certified clinical hypnotherapist and also a 4th generation matchmaker!).  Also worth trying is T3- From Stress To Success, so you can unblock whatever is stopping you from reaching your goals.

If personal success means to you that you have a great partner/spouse/significant other, and you want your relationship to be the best that it can be, there’s a neat little ebook called Relationship Saver, by Radomir Samardzic, a relationship coach.  Learn more about his work and ideas at http://relationshipsaver.wordpress.com or go directly to his site and purchase his comprehensive guide book to a better relationship at www.relationshipsaver.us.  His ebook is concise and amazingly to the point.

Whatever you decide is best for you, I hope 2008 is your best year ever!

Oh Well, C’est La Vie

November 26, 2007 by parkerandco

Well, it’s official, www.trimandthin.com has come down, never to return.  Who knows why these things happen.  Anyway, the self hypnosis product on that site is available on the main site for Success Center, owned by certified clinical hypnotherapist, Terry Brussel-Gibbons.  There are also a lot of other products there, not just by her but by other clinical hypnotherapists as well.  Go to www.acesuccess.com.

If you want the free ebook, Weight Loss Secrets That Work!, you can still get the older version with TrimAndThin links still in it.  The ebook is being updated with corrected links and will be published soon.  Go to www.freeiq.com and do a search for the book title (that’s the fastest way to find it on that huge site).

I’m still struggling with my weight loss attempts.  I read recently that you are born with a certain number of fat cells based on your genetic heritage.  In my case, I came here with the potential for huge arms, belly and thighs but managed to hold off the fat loading until I got older.  Then it became a constant battle between starvation and eating enough for two.  Understand I wasn’t binging, just overeating.  It didn’t help that it turned out I had an anxiety disorder, only subdued by eating.  What I ate almost didn’t matter but I eventually recognized a particular craving for sweets.  How many out there know that problem? In my case, I discovered a hormone imbalance and a chronic mineral deficiency.  With treatment, I now am much more in control of my eating habits and the anxiety, while still with me has decreased substantially.  I can’t really tell you what I did. This blog isn’t about giving medical advice.  I will tell you though that one thing that helped me get through was self hypnosis CD’s.  They really work if you want them to…..but you gotta want it!

When you are healthy, you feel good.  When you feel good, everything you do seems easier.  Have the hypnosis CD’s helped?  You bet!  I’m more financially stable.  Did they help with that too?  I really believe they did.  The mind is an incredible tool if you use it right.

Minor Problems Now Major

July 29, 2007 by parkerandco

Hey everyone….sorry about the links on this blog. The website, www.trimandthin.com, has come down. The links look like they are alive but they aren’t. The site is being rebuilt and though August was the estimated completion date, it looks like September instead. Nobody seems to be sure.

Well, if you like this blog and the site it led to, from what I hear you will love the site that’s coming.

Stay with us. If you have anything to say about all this, post a comment here. Remember to be nice or it won’t post. ;-D

A Few Minor Problems

June 22, 2007 by parkerandco

I’m baaaaaack! Life got in the way for a while but here I am now, big as life and still trying to lose weight. I’m succeeding, which frankly is a huge surprise to me as weight (too much of it) has been a life long problem.

Does hypnosis work? In my opinion, a big loud definite “YES!”. I’m basically a stress eater and I’m finding that I have less and less of a problem with it now. This, my friends, is awesome!

We have been experiencing some problems with our web site at www.trimandthin.com. It seems our webmaster has taken a slow boat to China or maybe a flight to the moon…..the site has a lot of flaws right now. To all of you who have wanted the free ebook, we apologize profusely for the link problem. I corrected the link in the previous post but here it is again:

www.trimandthin.com (unavailable)

This link should take you to the page where you can download the ebook and sign up for our newletter at the same time. At least for now.

I’ve been told this site is going to be re-built and there are some changes coming in the current product. Until then, we hope you enjoy the ebook and that the information in it is helpful to you.

Come back and post a comment!

Gone but Not Forgotten…?

May 7, 2007 by parkerandco

Just when I was getting started, my computer crashed and I couldn’t come here to post. Not just a thud…..more like an earthquake! Everything fried. Made me think of food so I went out and ate fried stuff. Guess what happened? The 12 pounds I managed to lose in the past month or so came back….well, almost all of it. Some of it stayed off, giving me the incentive to keep trying. Setbacks can be overcome.

Listening to the CD’s has been very important. Did I do this every day? Are you kidding?! I’m human…..life got in the way….a lot. The most important thing is I am keeping at it. I have put my full intention on losing weight (or as Terry Brussel-Gibbons says on one of the CD’s, “weight reduction. Loss implies needing to look for something, probably in the fridge”. ) I laughed when I heard that but I think it’s true! Words have power, positive and negative. What have you been saying to your self?

So, what does the title have to do with this post? Well, I lost…..er, I mean reduced my weight and I haven’t forgotten about it so that I can keep my intention strong to continue every day.

By the way, if you want to know more about how words can harm as well as help your goals, get Rhonda Byrne’s book, The Secret. I’m not paid to say this…..I just happen to think the book has great value.

Another valuable book is the one on Terry’s web site. This free ebook talks about all the possible ways weight can be reduced and there is quite a bit of good information in there. Almost as important are comments about why it is so hard for some of us to reduce and also, why some of us just can’t keep it off. Find out how you can help yourself remove the blockages keeping you from being fit and healthy. Get it here at www.trimandthin.com and remember it’s free!

The 4 CD Set: What Would You Pay?

March 26, 2007 by parkerandco

I’m just curious. Those of you who are interested in trying self hypnosis but hesitate for the reason of cost, what would you pay?

The set produced by Dr. Terry Brussel-Gibbons of Success Center, Encino, California currently sells for $67. There are 4 disks. First has instructions for weight loss, next is a hypnosis session for permanently losing weight, third is a hypnosis session bringing health and rejuvenation and last, a session for developing the energy for success.

As you can see, this package covers a lot of areas but if you think about it, they are all tied together. It’s hard to have successful weight loss without health and energy. This package is designed to help you change in many areas but with the central goal of losing weight.

These sessions are also covered in MP3 format for $47 (less because there is no packaging involved).

So……what do you think? Too much? Too little? What would you pay to change your life? Post your comments on this blog. As always, we do not sell or publish any information you give us.

We appreciate the time you take to leave your opinions….we really want to know what you think!

If you decide to try this program, purchase here.

Have You Heard of “The Secret”?

March 24, 2007 by parkerandco

In February, I found an excerpt from the new book “The Secret”, by Rhonda Byrne. It was printed on MSNBC.com.

The excerpt specifically is about weight loss. Ms Byrne says if you think fat thoughts, you will be fat, not because you eat too much. These thoughts can be conscious or unconscious but either way, they undermine our ability to lose weight and keep it off. It’s all about the law of attraction…….it’s Universal Law in action.

What you think is what you are. That’s a pretty common saying these days. Most of us don’t really understand what that means. Thoughts, like words, have power. You know the most common saying…..you are what you eat. True, but why do you eat the way you do? Why can’t you just think yourself thin? If underneath, you don’t think you deserve to be thin, you never will be, even if you starve yourself. How do I know? I, Sadie Parker, have had a weight problem most of my life and I can only get down about 10 pounds before I sabotage myself and gain it all back. For me, being thin means attracting the wrong kind of man and I’ve had a lifetime of that. I don’t want to do that anymore. The end result is I’m 60 pounds overweight and my hips, knees and ankles can no longer stand the strain. Either I lose weight or I’m facing hip or knee replacement surgery. I can’t think of anything worse to go through. I also believe it is totally unnecessary.

I have started one more weight loss strategy…..one I’ve never tried before. Self Hypnosis. I got the CD program and have started listening every day. This is not a quick fix but for me, that’s ok. It’s losing weight that is most important so I make time for it.

If you want to try this also, I recommend the 4 cd set (or the MP3 version if preferred) at www.trimandthin.com . If you decide to try it, come back here and post your comments.

Maybe we can try helping each other with this. Support is important for success.

Listen, folks….we all have problems.  How many of us are willing to first, admit that and second, DO something about it?

Have you got the courage to take charge of your life and make the changes you need to?  We can help.  How?

With teaching you self hypnosis.  You can listen to our CD’s at home and in your own time.  You do have to make some effort here.  Listen once and not much may happen, but listen every day for at least 21 days and you may just get the surprise of your life!

Invest in you.  Visit www.trimandthin.com for access to sessions on MP3  or if you prefer,  get our 4 CD set.  Check out the testimonials, too.
